THE FASHIONABLE REVOLUTION

For over a decade Welsh Fashion has championed and connected Fashion innovators, makers, shakers and associated creative talent across Wales and the wider World.

Each year we have worked with different organisations, communities, groups and charities focusing on highlighting diverse social, environmental and ecological issues. Including PTSD and mental health awareness in 2010; the effects of pesticides on polinators in 2012; along with the causes and effects of water pollution and the devastating amount of plastic & toxic waste in our rivers and oceans in 2014.
From the begining we have been questioning the sustainability of mass consumerism, especially its negative social and environmental effects, looking at the true or hidden cost of fast fashion within our wider world. Since 2014 we have been part of the Global Fashion Revolution movement asking 'Who Made Your Clothes?' and in 2016 we were proud to lead the march against excess clothing landfill waste at CFW.
As well as raising awareness on the ecological and environmental issues surrounding the fashion industry, our work in bringing inclusion and diversity into the spotlight has helped change perspectives developing more ethical practice across the globe.
